and although I have a long day of work on site ahead of me, I'm having a good day. Things are cozy here in the studio. I've taken a child to the orthodontist and deposited her at school already. The house is somewhere on the "lived in but people could stop by" spectrum. I have two projects to complete by Thursday afternoon but I think I can do it fairly easily.
How is your Christmas season going so far? Mine has been extremely busy yet somehow less hectic in terms of the "I'm running out of time" thing. That's because I saw into the future, realized I would be more busy than usual, and started ridiculously early. The house has been decorated for a full month already, for example. We are expecting visitors (Hi, Tracie!) for Christmas, so it's nice to get that out of the way. I have two big presents left to wrap and then the stockings and that's done. The only gifts I still need to worry about are for family friends and my mom (but I know what I'm getting her, so it's just a matter of ordering it). I think the family friends are going to be getting cookies. Hey, I would like that as a present!! I haven't sent cards out yet but that's by design, too. Other than that, I've already baked, decorated, gift wrapped, entertained, ordered, you name it. That leaves a little time for reflecting on the actual reason for the season. Imagine!
I think I promised photos of Project Use Up The Leftover Wrapping Paper:
It actually turned out cuter than I expected. The cards have money in them from my mother to everybody, so don't come rob me until I get them hidden. She just gave them to me this morning when I was on my way out and I didn't want to cart them to the orthodontist (they're getting enough of my money) so I threw them under the tree.
That one is enough to sort of make you dizzy. Just blurry and lopsided enough to keep it from being a masterpiece.
OK, I feel better. I feel like I'm back on the regular blogging bandwagon. Just wait until next week sometime. I promise something very cool. Spectacular, even. It will be at least a week of it, too. I am off for almost a whole week, yay!!!
