In my world. A total of one roll. I found it in my purse a while back. I have no idea what it's from except that it has to be from the last few years because my purse is only about a year and a half old. It could be one from B's graduation last May. That's the last time I remember shooting film. I have approximately one zillion graduation photos, but who knows? Maybe this roll has THE DEFINITIVE photo that sums it all up. Glass half full and all that. I suppose we should head out to Sam's today and drop it in the chute before it gets lost in here. Here being my studio. It's been sitting on my ottoman next to some magazines (Real Simple, Martha Stewart and I think a Memory Makers) for about a month.
Speaking of photos, here's a random photo for you:
You can sorta see my Library of Memories albums up top. One still has the packaging paper thing on it. The red ones are for School of Life. I still need a few more of those. They are all pretty much empty right now. It's not that I don't have layouts to get them started. It's that all the layouts are loose and hanging around randomly. I have to make a point to get them filed away. I still have to make intro pages for the albums, though. I'm almost thinking that might be overkill for me personally, which is why I haven't done it yet. Well, that and sloth. Hey, can you see the horizontal book titles in one of the cubes? I found some books for super cheap at Big Lots last week and one was about setting up your first little household. I've been collecting stuff like that for my darling 18-year-old. When I was her age, I was amassing quantities of household goods and saving money for my first apartment, which she seems vastly uninterested in. She is interested in moving out sometime soon, but not that interested in getting ready for that day. I had a blast doing that when I was her age, so I figure some people are into it and some are not. Since I still am, I figured I'd give her a hand. We have two microwaves that work but are not in use. Normally I would have gotten rid of them but I have been hanging onto stuff like that in order to eventually send them off with some equipment. I'm sure I have lots of kitchen equipment I can send them off with as well.
Do you see the little bitty "Home" book that's horizontal on the cube? I could not resist it. Another Big Lots buy. About 10 years ago I went to most of the homes I've lived in and took photos. I have some of the husband's homes as well. I want to do an altered book type of deal and stow them in that Nat Geo book. it's really such a well-done little book. They also had one for Hats and a few other things. The hat one was cool, but the only hats around here are the husband's ball caps and little bonnets the girlies wore when they were teeny.
See the horizontal wire paper holders? I have had two of them for years and I bought the rest from the girl who owned the scrapbook store around here that went out of business (the one I worked for in 2006 and 2007, up until about 4 months before it closed). She also GAVE me the coolest K&Co paper holder. After I move it into its ultimate destination, I will take a photo of it for ya. It goes great in here, the room of many shades of white and cream. Plus a punch of green. I actually was not all that fond of green until recently, but when I look out the windows most months of the year, that's what surrounds me. All shades of green. It felt sort of right to bring green into the room as an accent color.
OK, time for me to be off to work on my list from yesterday. I think I've gotten a grand total of nothing done on it and I have to add a few things, even. Like dropping off a roll of undeveloped mystery film.
